Bio

Carole is an accomplished sculptor with over 25 years of experience in art education. She studied Sculpture at the Wimbledon School of Art and earned her MA from the Bradford School of Art. Her work has been exhibited across the UK, including in London, Sheffield, and York. As a member of the Yorkshire Sculptors Group, she actively participates in exhibitions that showcase contemporary themes. In 2024, Carole completed a practice–led Ph.D. at Coventry University titled “Sculptural Reconfigurations of the Kitchen Utensil: A Poetic Chaos of Domesticity,” focusing on the transformation of everyday objects through personal narratives. She was awarded the British Council Venice Biennale Fellowship in 2019, resulting in an artist’s book that documented her Venice Biennale experience. Carole primarily creates sculptures using clay, stitching, and found materials. Recently, she has created work on the lost wax casting process in bronze under the mentorship of Artist and Bronze Casting expert Kabir Hussain in Suffolk.
